Inspect tyres before wet-weather journeys
Check tread, visible damage and pressure according to your vehicle maker’s instructions. Worn or damaged tyres need assessment before you depend on them in heavy rain.
Choose a compatible tyre first
Ask about MRF options that match your vehicle’s size, load and speed requirements. No tyre model makes every wet road safe, and a tread pattern alone is not proof of suitable fitment.
Adapt your driving to the road
Reduce speed when conditions deteriorate, leave more space and avoid abrupt braking or steering. Avoid standing water when its depth or road surface is uncertain.
After a pothole impact
If you notice a bulge, loss of pressure, vibration or steering change after an impact, stop safely and arrange inspection. Ask the showroom whether the tyre or wheel needs attention.
Check the original guidance
For tyre selection and ratings, use your vehicle’s instructions alongside manufacturer guidance. Warranty questions are governed by the current MRF policy.
